About Sandra Burns
With more than 20 years of communications experience, Sandra is passionate about helping clients with their communications needs. From developing realistic and measurable communications plans to flawlessly delivering an event for 1,000 people, she takes pride in every little detail. Her ability to see the big picture while focusing on the details is one of her strengths.
Working as an extension of her client's internal communications teams, Sandra has managed the implementation of several communication campaigns, including a national awareness and education campaign. She has successfully managed budgets and timelines while supporting the communication needs of pipeline companies, non-profit organizations, and other public relations agencies.
Sandra holds a Bachelor of Arts (English) and a MBA. She currently sits on the Public Relations Advisory Board at Mount Royal University.
About Courtney Massicotte
A dynamic and creative communications professional with extensive experience in managing events and successfully executing strategic tactics, Courtney has a strong background in communications and has worked for a variety of companies and organizations.
She has supported online development and social media campaigns: creating content, researching blogs and implementing strategy. This work involved planning, executing and monitoring a robust online presence including website design and maintenance, tracking engagement and analytics and integrating social media.
With events ranging in size from 10 people to nearly 1,000, Courtney flawlessly executes and delivers on the clients vision. She has handled several major fundraisers, as well as, more than 40 outreach engagements in one year. She has also contributed extensively to the development of collateral, including working with and managing third party providers to keep projects on track.
In her spare time, Courtney volunteers with the professional association of Young Women in Energy as the Media Relations Lead. She is committed to the Ronald McDonald House where she has served on their fundraising and community engagement committee for four years. And, she uses her social media knowledge and influence to support and advocate for social justice organizations helping refugees and victims of human trafficking.
Courtney has a Certificate of Public Relations from Mount Royal University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria.
About Allyson Schurr
Allyson is a communications professional with nearly 10 years experience in public relations, crisis communications, engagement planning, digital strategy, M&A communications, executive communications and transformation communications. She has a strong business background and has worked in a number of unique industries including oil and gas, pipelines, hospitality and not-for-profit.
She has worked with political parties designing and implementing creative digital engagement strategies which included life cycle services like monitoring, reporting, brand reputation management, response and strategy development. She also has experience in change management and is PROSCI certified in helping large and small organizations identify and implement changes required to achieve their optimal performance.
In 2012, Allyson was the Marketing Lead for an international event hosted in Calgary which brought over 1,600 young professionals from around the world for three days to collaborate and create new ideas to solve big energy-related issues of today. She also has experience planning and executing annual general meetings, private award events and team engagement events.
Additionally, Allyson sits on the board for the World Petroleum Council (WPC) Canada Future Leaders and volunteers with Young Women in Energy (YWE).
Allyson has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Lethbridge, a Masters in Business Administration from Queen's University, a Professional Business Writing certificate from Mount Royal University and a Corporate Responsibility certificate from Queen's University.
